Media accreditation is required for journalists and media professionals wishing to attend events.
How to apply
Media representatives who wish to attend events should contact the Press Office of the Houses of the Oireachtas in advance to begin the accreditation process.
The Press Office will guide you through the process and advise on required documentation and eligibility criteria.

Media guidelines
Accredited members of the press will receive an access card upon arrival, subject to presentation of a valid press card. This card grants access to public areas and designated press facilities and must be worn visibly at all times.
Accredited members of the press are permitted to take photographs and videos during plenary meetings and in designated photography areas.
Photography and filming are not permitted in:
- Meeting rooms
- Areas where food and refreshments are consumed
- Private or restricted areas
All interviews must be arranged directly with individual participants.
At certain events, barriers and designated press areas may be in place.
Media representatives must follow all instructions provided by event staff and venue personnel in relation to access, movement and participation.

Media representatives should allow additional time for security and access procedures.
