Event Details

In 2027, Ireland will host the Conference of the Speakers of the European Union Parliaments (EUSC). This conference will be hosted by the Ceann Comhairle of Dáil Éireann as Speaker of the Irish Parliament's Lower House, along with the Cathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann as Speaker of the Irish Parliament's Upper House.

The EUSC is a forum for the exchange of opinions, information and experiences among the presiding officers of the national parliaments in the EU and the European Parliament.

The EUSC, with full respect for the different powers of its members, promotes the role of parliaments, supports their co-operation and oversees the co-ordination of interparliamentary EU activities.

The EUSC is held annually and brings together the speakers of the parliaments of the EU’s 27 member states, the European Parliament, the parliaments of EU candidate countries and other invited parliaments.
